Virginia shot 62% from the field and outrebounded Team USA 45-23.
At halftime, the Cavaliers already led 45-25. After the start of the second half, the Cavaliers defeated the American team 20-8 in the first 8 minutes.
Virginia backup Jakari White missed the game with a left wrist injury. White suffered a broken wrist in Saturday’s win over Maryland, apparently caused when he fell to the court after a highlight-reel dunk.
White averaged 10.9 points per game. On Monday, he had a cast on his left hand and lower wrist.
