Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinasi Sibisi has highlighted the main factors that set Abduslam Wadu’s side apart from their previous counterparts.

The Soweto giants have already won the MTN8 Championship and the League Knockout Cup and are on course to become the first team to win the League Cup after defeating the League All-Stars last month.

Furthermore, Buccaneers currently sit third in the Betway Premiership standings with 29 points and two games in hand, ahead of leaders Mamelodi Sandowns and second-placed Kaizer Chiefs.

Asked what sets Waddu’s Buccaneers apart, Sibisi pointed to the squad’s depth amid the belief that the elusive league champions can return to Orlando for the first time since the 2011/12 season.

“I think we have depth this season and everyone can see that whether I’m there or not, there’s somebody who’s going to take over and get the job done,” the Buccaneers captain said.

“So, I think that’s our main strength this season and it shows in the number of goal contributions from everywhere – defenders, wingers and forwards.

Buccaneers will face bottom side Magers FC at the newly renamed Amstel Arena in Orlando on Saturday following a goalless draw with Sekuhuni United at the weekend.
