NFL won’t take action against fan in incident with Steelers’ Metcalf

The NFL and Detroit Lions will reportedly not take action against fan Ryan Kennedy who was involved in an altercation after upholding a two-game suspension for Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf.

On Tuesday afternoon, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the league and the Lions would not take any action against Kennedy because, according to his source, “there was no violation of the fan code of conduct.”

Near the end of the first half, Metcalf walked up to where Kennedy was in the stands and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. Metcalf then pushed Kennedy back hard enough to nearly touch his face.

Metcalf appealed the decision, but the NFL and NFLPA chose to uphold his suspension, meaning the incident cost the Steelers $45 million in guaranteed money, which is now void.
