The NFC West has a new leader and the top three teams have changed. The Seattle Seahawks are now the division leader, while the Arizona Cardinals remain in last place, a spot they have locked up.
With two games left in the regular season, the Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers are all likely to win the division title and have their sights set on the NFC’s top seed.

All three teams have already locked up playoff spots. It’s just a matter of where they will plant their seeds.

The Rams were leading at the time, but they lost to the Seahawks and dropped to third as the 49ers took the lead in the tiebreaker.
The Cardinals have lost seven straight.
What happened in week 16
This week’s game is the first game of Week 16. The Rams led the Seahawks 30-14 in the fourth quarter Thursday night and the game went into overtime on Matthew Stafford’s 41-yard touchdown pass to Puka Nacua. The Rams took a 37-30 lead, but Sam Darnold threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Ngiba. Smith-Njigba) and then lost the game 38-37. Successful two-point conversion to Eric Saubert. Darnold overcame two interceptions, Rashid Shaheed returned a 58-yard punt for a touchdown, and Stafford threw three touchdown passes in the loss.

The 49ers defeated the Indianapolis Colts 48-27 on Monday night. Brock Purdy threw five touchdown passes and Christian McCaffrey had 146 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns, including 117 yards on the touchdown pass. Defensively, they limited Jonathan Taylor to 46 yards and forced two turnovers.
The Cardinals lost their seventh straight game and 12th in their last 13 games. They were beaten after leading 10-3 and 13-3, losing to the Atlanta Falcons 26-19.
NFC West Schedule Week 17
The Seahawks will try to maintain their division lead on the road against the NFC South-leading Carolina Panthers.
The Cardinals are 5-10 on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The final two games are Sunday night and Monday night. The 49ers will face the Chicago Bears , who are 11-4 and lead the NFC North.
The Rams end the week on the road against the 6-9 Falcons.
