After a season of draws and changes across the league, it’s no surprise that the Wild Card round is expected to be as chaotic as ever. The Los Angeles Rams are the only team calling themselves the favorites on wild-card weekend, at least in the public eye. Five of the six games have been narrowly decided, with some home teams even going into the weekend as underdogs.
The most watched matchup may be the battle between the San Francisco 49ers and the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles, two teams that have combined to win five of the past eight games and the past three NFC Championships. One contender’s Super Bowl hopes come to an end Sunday night.
In the AFC, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will venture on the road to face the red-hot Jacksonville Jaguars, and all eyes will be on New England Patriots quarterback Derek Meyer as he attempts to earn his first playoff win against Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
