Now, the football life cycle has everyone focused on the NFL Draft, and with it comes the rite of passage known as the NFL Draft Combine. While Notre Dame sent its fair share of players to the combine, the big question is what those guys will choose to do once they get to Indianapolis.
Over the past few years, there has been a growing trend toward opting out of some or all activities. Many players choose to do things like throw and run the 40-yard dash during their respective careers.

Jeremiah Love
But…it looks like Jeremiyah Love can handle the challenge at the combine.
Most mock drafts have Love moving on before the No. 10 pick, but I think if he runs like his 4.31 40-yard dash, he could be easily passed up by some other team in the top 10. So you must be wondering…why does love do this? A lot of the top 10 teams in the first round are either dumpster fires or dumpsters waiting to catch fire.

Notre Dame’s “other” running back is projected to be an early second-round pick, and some believe he could be selected toward the end of the first round. Over the past month, Price has been widely praised for his skills on the court, with his cuts leaping off the screen with an incredible combination of speed, vision, balance and power. He had a lot to gain at the combine — so he gave it his all, too.

It’s no secret that Fields’ draft stock has been rising since his stellar performance at the Senior Bowl, but when was he selected? Daniel Jeremiah had Fields going in the first round in a recent mock draft, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen.
To be fair, Jeremiah ranked Fields as the No. 44 pick in the draft (Jeremiah Love went No. 2 and Ja’Darian Price went No. 43).
Carson Toth
Yes – you heard that right. Notre Dame forward Carson Towt will try to become an NFL player when the Fighting Irish basketball season ends in March. This definitely feels like a “summer camp invitation,” but it’s all very interesting regardless of where he might end up at the next level, if at all.
