Now that the race for John Harbaugh is over, the Tennessee Titans will restart their coaching search on Friday and continue over the weekend in an attempt to wrap up the first round of interviews.
While some have questioned the rationale for such an extensive search, NFL analyst Andrew Brandt offered a different perspective on Mike Borgonzi’s approach during the offseason.

“Look, I see the Titans’ roster is now up to 17 candidates. I say, Tennessee Titans, that’s definitely good for you. Everybody should be doing it. There’s no harm in casting the net as wide as you can in NFL interviews,” Brandt said.
Borgonzi plans to meet with Brian Daboll, Jonathan Gannon, Mike McCarthy and Robert Saleh over the weekend as they try to narrow the preliminary list of second-round interviews to three or four candidates.
The Titans have a roster of 17 candidates, and an interview with rumored Kliff Kingsbury has still not been scheduled. More names may be added in the coming days.
