The New York Giants were expected to be a big name in the running back market this offseason, but they may no longer be after veteran tight end Devin Singletary agreed to a contract reduction on Friday.
Singletary signed a three-year, $16.5 million contract in 2024 and is expected to make $5 million this year, as Jordan Raanan notes below. Instead, he will receive $1.3 million and an additional $1 million in incentives.
According to Spotrac, the incentives are as follows:

-
1,100 Melee YD: $125,000
-
1,200 Melee YD: $250,000
-
1,300 Melee YD: $250,000
The above incentives may seem far-fetched for Singletary, who is currently in third place behind Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
The Giants now have a salary cap hit of about $22 million for their top 51 players. With the new league year approaching on March 11, there will be more cost-cutting moves in the coming days.
