It didn’t take Brandon Cisneros long.
In his seventh year as New Smyrna Beach boys soccer coach, his Barracudas reached 100 career wins with a 2-1 victory over the Seminoles on Friday, Dec. 19 at the New Smyrna Beach Sports Center. At halftime, they trailed 0-1.

New Smyrna Beach’s overall record under Cisneros is 100-22-19. With the win over the Seminoles, this season’s record improved to 7 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.
Starting with the 2019-2020 season, the past three years have been the most successful of Cisneros’ tenure. The Barracudas hold the record for three consecutive regional final appearances.

They also won three consecutive Five-Star Conference championships and three consecutive district championships. NSB also captured a regional title in 2021, winning four titles under Cisneros.
It has qualified for the playoffs each of the past six seasons.
In Cisneros’ first season, his Barracudas went 8-7-3. They jumped to 12-5-4 the following year and 13-5-3 in 2021-22.

In his fourth season, New Smyrna Beach went 18-1-1 and reached the regional finals — the state’s Elite Eight. It posted a record of 25 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in the 2023-24 season and a record of 17 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses last winter.
Barracuda also thrives in the classroom. In 2023 and 2024, they had the highest team GPA in the class.
New Smyrna Beach will have some time to celebrate this milestone win. will not return to action until Dec. 29 against Ocoee at 2 p.m.
