Nebraska softball defeats UCF at Clearwater Invitational

Nebraska softball (5-4) takes on UCF (8-3) on day three of the Clearwater Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Huskers added another victory by defeating the Golden Knights 6-0 in a tense invitational game.

Jordy Frahm (2-3) led the way for Nebraska. She hit two home runs and finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs and a walk. She also pitched a complete game, striking out seven, allowing three hits, four walks and no runs.

The team finished with eight hits and five RBIs. Lauren Camenzid went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, a double and a single. Bella Bacon also had two hits to finish 2-for-3. Carlie Muhlbach and Katelyn Caneda each had a double and went three-for-one.

The Huskers wrap up their invitational tournament Sunday night against No. 1 Texas Tech. Game 1 is scheduled to air on ESPN+ at 2 pm Central Time. The game was originally scheduled for 5 pm Central Time, but was moved up due to expected inclement weather in the evening.
