The Chicago White Sox made a surprise signing just before Christmas when they agreed to terms with Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami. As his posting window came to an end, some thought the premier power bat might not find a team. However, Murakami would charge his momentum towards the South Zone.

As far as this episode is concerned baseball bat-b-actorJake Mintz joins special guest host Dani Wexelman to break down the two-year, $34 million contract that will send the two-time Central League MVP to Chicago as a proven contract. They wonder what so many people in baseball misunderstand about his posting window and what it means when he hits free agency at 28 years old.

Later, Jack and Danny talk about the slew of moves happening in baseball, including the Boston Red Sox trading St. Louis Cardinals catcher Wilson Contreras, the New York Mets parting ways with another franchise mainstay and a crazy three-team trade. They then moved on to the A’s with extension Tyler Soderstrom and the San Diego Padres bringing back Michael King before making a choice. Good, Bad and Ugra.
