MSU football to reportedly host 1,000-yard rusher transfer prospect

The Michigan Stats football team will reportedly host a 1,000-yard rusher for a visit in the transfer portal on Monday.

UConn transfer running back Cam Edwards will visit Michigan State on Monday, according to Tim Verghese of Rivals. He will reportedly visit Louisville on Sunday.

Edwards ran for 1,240 yards and 15 touchdowns last season with the Huskies. He also had 187 receiving yards and one touchdown this year. In his career, he ran for 2,690 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Edwards is listed as a three-star prospect in 247Sports’ transfer portal prospect rating system. He is ranked the No. 49 running back in the portal and is a top-500 overall prospect in the portal.

Edwards has one year of eligibility remaining.
