Milford MA Police say teen threatened peer on Snapchat with gun

Milford police say online gun threats have led to a Milford teen facing more than a dozen gun and drug charges.

Sheriff Robert Tusino said Monday, March 9, that police arrested the 16-year-old on Thursday, March 5, after serving a search warrant at his home. Police are not identifying the teen because of his age.

“This is very serious,” Tuccino said. “This was one of those cases where, for lack of a better term, something started small and turned into a mountain.”

The teen threatened to shoot a classmate at Milford High School on Snapchat last week, police said.

“This can only be attributed to the hard work and dedication of our school resource officers and the relationships we have with our teachers and students,” the superintendent said. “It’s because of these relationships that students feel they can reach out to their school resource officers about things like this.”

The teen was arrested and released on $75,000 bail pending an arraignment in Worcester Juvenile Court. Juvenile court proceedings are closed to the public.
