This offseason, many Denver Broncos fans believe the team’s biggest need is a true No. 1 wide receiver who can be a legitimate threat to Bo Nix catching the ball.

The problem is that free agency doesn’t offer a ton of options, and neither does the upcoming draft class. Therefore, the Broncos may need to get creative with trades or just hope they can get more out of their current crop of receivers.
But outside options have become increasingly scarce.
One player who has been heavily linked to the Broncos this offseason is Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown. Acquiring him would require a pricey trade, but he appears to have given the Eagles a list of teams he’d be interested in being shipped to, and the Broncos are not on that list, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
Then, just as the free agent tampering window opened at 10:00 AM Mountain Time, reports surfaced that the Indianapolis Colts would retain wide receiver Alec Pierce in a huge deal.

Pierce has been linked to the Broncos and many analysts believe Pierce is the best fit. However, the price tag may have scared off the Broncos.
Which free agents are left at wide receiver?
The market wasn’t strong to begin with, and with Pierce already signed, the Broncos had to consider options like Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, Tyreek Hill or Wandale Robinson. However, those players haven’t been linked to the Broncos much this offseason.
One of those players is Green Bay Packers free agent wide receiver Romeo Dubs. However, this would be a more underwhelming signing than the kind Broncos Nation is looking for.
