SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The New England Patriots are on the verge of winning the Super Bowl, and ahead of the big game, head coach Mike Vrabel thought about what it means for the team.
“Well, the organization has set a standard,” he explained to reporters on Wednesday. “Patriot Organization, Robert [Kraft] and jonathan [Kraft]has set a standard for this organization and this is what we expect. We understand this and we embrace this. “

However, Vrabel singled out one player in particular, detailing how he experienced a win with his kids, and he hopes veteran offensive tackle Morgan Moses has the same experience.
“Personally, I’ve been through this again. I want the players to go through this with their families. I want them to go through this with their kids. I want Morgan Moses to go through this with his three sons,” he added. “He’s been great on our football team. Not talking about how great he is on the field, but his demeanor and demeanor. He’s a great dad. The way he cares about his kids and gets his work done is something I appreciate. So, I hope they get to experience that. I’m excited to see them enjoy it.”
This really emphasizes the type of coach Vrabel is, one who wants to do everything for his players. Moses said that the head coach provoking him in this way was just a small provocation to everything he had done.
“That’s one of the things that got me signing here,” Moses explained. “When I signed here, the first thing we talked about wasn’t about football; it wasn’t about being a veteran leader in the locker room or helping guys improve. It was like, ‘Man, how are your kids doing?’ When you can have a coach understand first and foremost that I’m a dad. Obviously, he and his sons have been through that as a player and as a coach. So it means a lot because it’s an important relationship.

“Outside of football, criticizing on and off the pitch, this is someone who cares about you as a person.”
For Moses, while the team has been here since Sunday, he has been counting down the days until his sons will arrive and experience it all with them.
“I talked to my sons last night,” Moses said. “They’d say, ‘Dad, I don’t know what to bring.’ I said, ‘Look, I’ve got everything packed up for you. It’s already there. I’ve coached my boys and being able to be in this moment and being able to have them stand here and they can see, hey, hard work pays off.”
His sons have been with him through it all from the time he first signed until now.

“I remember when we first signed here, they were like, ‘Dad, we don’t know much about the Patriots, but we don’t know much about Tom Brady.'” I said, ‘It’s going to be okay, man. Everything’s going to be fine, trust me,” Moses said. “They see this going on every day and hey, some days it doesn’t look good. Throughout my career, I’ve been through injuries, trying to recover and all that. So when they see something that’s less than perfect, it doesn’t look good now, but then they can see the finished product.
“That’s the blessing, you know? It’s the blessing of being able to see them grow. They see me grow. I tell them all the time that I learn more from them than they learn from me. I can’t wait to get them out of here.”
