The New England Patriots survived a war of attrition on Sunday, but that might be just what they needed…
It’s safe to say the club’s comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens wasn’t easy, as they clinched a playoff spot and reached 12 wins (12-4) for the first time since 2019.

Kayshon Boutte was tackled on a tight reception that would have given his team a score at the six-yard line with three minutes left, but there were no flags on the play. This is the most shocking no-answer call you’ve ever seen, and with this video you can see what we’re talking about. Drake Maye created another iconic moment on Sunday Night Football. TreVeyon Henderson (head), Kayshon Boutte (head), DeMario Douglas (hamstring), Joshua Farmer (hamstring), Khyiris Tonga (foot) and Charles Woods (ankle) all missed the game due to injuries.
Mike Vrabel recognized all of this in his postgame press conference, but came away confident that things were going to be good for his team as they prepare.
“I think it’s great to be in a game like this,” Vrabel said after the game, according to New England Football Magazine . “I feel like it’s a great team win. It’s a great team win…A lot of guys down, a lot of guys up. We’ve got to stay healthy, but I think it’s a great win for us.”
New England can now lock up the AFC East by sweeping their upcoming games against the New York Jets (3-12) and Miami Dolphins (6-9).
Meyer and Vrabel both came to the same conclusion: They want to hold their home playoff games at Gillette Stadium.

“That’s still what we’re fighting for,” Meyer said on ESPN. “It’s great to be in the playoffs, but we still want to win the division.”
This is looking more and more like it will become a reality…
