Mike McDaniel isn’t bothered by Troy Aikman’s criticism from Week 15 Monday night game

He’s doing his job, and when I signed up for this job, results are everything, whether things are good or bad, and that doesn’t bother me at all.”

McDaniel also expressed support for the organization’s decision to hire Aikman as a consultant.

“I think Troy Aikman’s connections in the NFL speak for themselves and know a lot of things,” McDaniel said. “The message to me is positive and being able to tap into those resources, I think we’re blessed. I’m excited about it. As for everything else, I’m not going to take another second to prioritize my job of, ‘Is this going to work for me?’ My priority is I’m the head coach and I’m going to take on Those are responsibilities because they concern everyone in the organization. I’m not kidding, lying, misdirecting, and I don’t want to waste my time or anyone else’s time.”

The most pressing question is whether McDaniel will be relieved of his duties after Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Patriots. If McDaniel stays, the next question is whether the next general manager will decide to make a coaching change.
