Michigan football’s Jaishawn Barham is no ordinary rushing outside linebacker. The hybrid player displays impressive athleticism, which allows him to operate in defensive midfield and up front.
Barham ran a 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday, finishing seventh among all rushers with a time of 4.64 seconds. He trails a number of other notable players, including rival and projected first-round pick Arvell Reese from Ohio State, who had the fastest time of 4.46 seconds.

Even so, Barham is in the upper group among rushers who are running the ball.
Barham also finished fifth in the 10-yard dash (1.61 seconds) and seventh in the broad jump with a jump of 10 feet, 3 inches, but finished fourth in the vertical jump of 33 inches.
When combining linebackers, defensive tackles and edge rushers, Barham’s 40-yard dash speed ranked 19th out of 47 participants, but his grade was the worst among all linebackers and the best among all defensive tackles.
