The Michigan State football team is looking to rebuild its roster ahead of Pat Fitzgerald’s first season in East Lansing. Plans to rebuild the roster were announced via the transfer portal. Prior to the weekend, news broke that the Spartans would host a power-conference defensive line transfer.
Florida State edge transfer Jaden Jones will be visiting East Lansing this weekend. This follows visits to Missouri and North Carolina.

Jones, a 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end, has been in Tallahassee since 2023. A native of Montgomery, Ala., he began his career at Hutchinson Community College. At Florida State, he played in 17 games, recording nine tackles and one tackle for a loss.
This season, PFF rates him as a 65.6 overall grade defender and a 72.3 grade-defender. He’s a guy who fits the bill as a filler in an early slump.
