The Michigan State ice hockey team has concluded the 2025-26 regular season and is awaiting its fate in the NCAA Tournament after an early exit from the Big Ten Tournament. The conference announced the winners Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s Big Ten Tournament championship game.
Spartans captain Matt Busguerre wore the green and white in his final season, earning the greatest honor a defensive player can receive. He was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.
