Michigan State has now gone into four straight games in which their opponents have been within one possession of a four-and-under timeout. Each time, the Wolverines had an answer. With the Boilermakers playing their fourth game in four days (not to mention what appears to be a bad game for them at UM), they won’t be able to hang with Dusty May’s team, which will fly the conference flag for the third straight time (2025 Championship, 2025-26 Regular Season, 2026 Championship). Picks: Michigan State 83, Purdue 72.

Michigan avoided favored UCLA, which lost 73-66 to Purdue in the semifinals with two of its best players out with injuries for all or most of the game. Point guards Brayden Smith and Trey Kaufman-Lane are always threats, but if Axel Lundenburg gets going early and Elliott Cardo avoids foul trouble, this game won’t be close. Picks: Michigan State 75, Purdue 69.
