Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier will appear in a New York court on Monday afternoon to be arraigned on federal wire fraud and money laundering charges.
Rozier was last in court on October 23 in Orlando, Florida, when prosecutors initially announced the indictment. He allegedly helped bettors who placed bets on his performance in NBA games.

Prosecutors allege Rozier conspired with bettors and friends to help them place bets on his performance in multiple games. Such an incident happened in March 2023 when Rozier was playing for the Charlotte Hornets. During this game, Rozier allegedly warned bettors that he planned to leave early due to injury.
Rozier started against the Pelicans on March 23, 2023 and played about nine and a half minutes before leaving the game with a foot injury. Rozier did not play in another game that season.
The 31-year-old veteran guard is one of three current or former NBA players implicated in the gambling ring, which has also seen more than 30 other players arrested in the case, including several members of the Mafia crime family.

Hall of Famer and Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups has been indicted for allegedly participating in a high-stakes, illegal poker gaming scheme backed by the Mafia. Billups was placed on unpaid leave by the NBA after his arrest and recently put his Portland-area home on the market.
Former NBA player and assistant coach Damon Jones has also been charged with participating in an illegal poker scheme and allegedly helping gamblers win bets on NBA games, which also implicates Rozier.
Both Rozier and Billups are currently on unpaid leave from their respective organizations while the court cases proceed.
