MG Motor India Delivers More Than 100 EVs in Delhi NCR on Dhanteras

JWS MG Motor India has announced that it will deliver over 100 electric vehicles in one day to Delhi NCR during the festive season. The brand claims to have delivered over 100 units of Windsor, ZS EV and Comet EV during Dhanteras. Interestingly, the brand recently achieved a similar milestone by delivering 101 Windsors at a special event in Bengaluru. According to an official statement, over 15,176 Windsor EV bookings were made within 24 hours of the announcement.

The compact Comet, on the other hand, is growing in popularity after a slow start in India. Of course, the launch of MG’s electric cars in the Indian electric market is still going strong, with average monthly sales in the country being about 600 units.

Battery as a Service (BaaS) concept

In Windsor EV, the battery-as-a-service concept was first introduced in India by JSW MG Motors. The concept is to reduce the initial investment by removing the cost of the battery from the price of the car. MG Motor India, a British brand owned by China’s SAIC Motor, is one of the few carmakers leading the EV movement in India. JWS MG Motor has three electric vehicles.
