Mavs 123, Nets 114: Balanced attack lifts Mavericks over Nets for first back-to-back wins since January

While the Mavericks have struggled this season, the Brooklyn Nets have had it even worse.

Dallas enters Tuesday’s game with a record of 1-4 in six road games and 1-9 in its last 10 games. The last time the Mavericks beat the Nets, rookie Cooper Flagg scored 27 points. But with Flagg missing his fourth straight game with a left mid-foot sprain, a road loss in Brooklyn seemed likely.

Six Mavericks scored in double figures, leading Dallas to a 123-114 victory over Brooklyn.

With the win, the Mavericks won two straight for the first time since late January. Dallas swept Brooklyn in the season series, winning all three games. The two cross-league teams have faced each other three times this season, both of which were eliminated early in the NBA play-offs.

Marvin Bagley III continued his strong performance after being traded to Dallas, scoring 22 points. Khris Middleton scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the last game, but was sidelined in the second quarter with a right shoulder injury.
