NEW YORK (AP) — Matvey Michkov scored his second goal of the game at 2:10 of overtime and Samuel Elson made 23 saves as the Philadelphia Flyers rallied to beat the New York Rangers 3-2 on Thursday night.
After the Rangers failed to score on a power play early in overtime, Michkov beat Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin for his 15th goal of the season.

Trevor Zegras also scored for the Flyers, who trailed 2-0 early in the second period but rallied for their second win since Jan. 23.
Sam Carrick and Alexis Lafrenier scored for New York, which lost its fifth straight game. Shesterkin returned from a lower-body injury in a Jan. 5 home loss to Utah and made 21 saves. The Rangers have a home record of 6-15-5 this season.
At 9 minutes and 56 seconds into the first quarter, Carrick opened the scoring. His long shot beat Elson and scored his fourth goal. Lafreniere’s 13th game of the season made it 2-0 at 1:23 of the second period.
Michkov scored a goal at 10 minutes and 25 seconds into the second quarter, reducing the Flyers’ deficit to 2-1. Zegras scored with 39 seconds left in the third quarter to tie the game at 2.

Defender Adam Fox returns to the Rangers lineup.
New York traded leading scorer Artemi Panarin to the Los Angeles Kings on Feb. 4 and could make more moves before the March 6 trade deadline. The Rangers are 2-11-2 since winning the Winter Classic on Jan. 2 in Miami.
The Flyers lost 3-1 in Washington on Wednesday and fell down in the standings. Since Jan. 6, Philadelphia is 4-9-4.
Before the game, the Rangers honored Olympic gold medalists JT Miller and Vincent Trocheck as well as coach Mike Sullivan, assistant coach David Quinn and general manager Chris Drury, the assistant general manager of the U.S. Olympic team in Milan.
Drury was loudly booed by the Madison Square Garden crowd.
