Pedro joined Chelsea from Brighton last summer in an initial deal worth £55m and made an immediate impact at the Club World Cup.

The Brazilian scored in both the semi-finals and final and carried that form into the opening stages of the Premier League.

He went through a difficult period under Enzo Maresca at the end of last year and was clearly struggling for form.
It’s unclear whether he performs best at No. 9 or No. 10, but his form has improved greatly since Roniol’s arrival.

The attacker has now scored ten league goals, equaling his tally at Brighton last season, and is thriving under the 41-year-old.

Ronniol has praised Pedro on numerous occasions since his arrival, with Law revealing the new manager has met with the 24-year-old more than any other player.
“he [Rosenior] I met Joao Pedro more than any other player,” he told the London Is Blue Podcast.
“I always thought Maresca demoted him to a number nine and maybe that had an impact on him.
“Rosenho seemed to really promote him as a number nine. It seemed to give Joao Pedro a huge confidence shake.”

While Pedro excels on the field, he also seems to have developed a great on-field relationship with Cole Palmer.
