The NCAA Tournament is finally here, and it’s no surprise who gets the No. 1 seed in the women’s bracket this spring.
Geno Auriemma and UConn were named the top seed in the women’s NCAA tournament on Sunday night after the Huskies’ undefeated season. The Huskies posted a perfect 34-0 record and won one Big East game after another. UConn averaged a 37.8-point margin of victory during the regular season and had only one game within single digits in November. The Huskies defeated Villanova by 39 points last week to win the Big East Championship.
