Manchester United manager Mark Skinner says the club are closing in on several January transfer targets.
The Red Devils have lacked squad depth at times this season and Skinner is keen to add more depth and experience when the transfer window reopens.

Speaking at a United press conference, Skinner confirmed the club would complete several deals ahead of next month’s transfer window.
“We’re already on track to get some players close, which I think will be exciting,” Skinner said.
“We need to be creative within the parameters but I would say we need to be in this group. I have to stress that it’s not because of the quality of my players but the depth of experience to be able to continue, especially in terms of the level of competition. We have the Champions League, a tough game against Tottenham, the Champions League again and then the quarter-finals. The level of competition is there.
“The club has been looking at this for years so there is a plan, there is a focus. Hopefully we can get close to a couple and if we can bring more that would be great.”

Commenting on where his side could be strengthened, Skinner hinted at the attacking position, although he is keen to strengthen all areas.
He said: “We need to add to the front line. I want to add some depth to all the units – defence, midfield and attack and we can make some adjustments so we’re not the same team. What I don’t like is when we have one style we need to mix it up.
“I’m looking to bring in players for each unit to bring quality and experience and freshen things up.”
One player who may be leaving Manchester United is forward Guice, who is on loan at National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Gotham FC. Skinner said discussions about the player’s future are ongoing.

“Right now, Gase is in the offseason because she’s played all the games,” he said. [for Gotham]. We’re looking at all options, so anyway, I don’t know yet. The club is looking into the matter with Guess and her representatives and everything is on the table. “
