United remain staunch admirers of Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams, an affordable and proven midfield target this summer.
In fact, the Cherries star has found himself one of a number of Premier League players on United’s shortlist heading into the transfer window, joining the likes of Adam Walton, Carlos Baleba and Elliott Anderson.

Why Manchester United are interested in Tyler Adams
Of the midfielders the Reds are considering, Adams appears to be the least expensive, with CaughtOffside claiming he will be worth just £30m at the end of the season.
Ineos executives are actively in the market for a suitable successor to Casemiro, and while the 27-year-old isn’t quite on the same level as the five-time Champions League winner, he could provide vital depth in a game where United hope to compete on all fronts.

Adams won’t be as high-profile an addition as Anderson or Walton, but you can see why he caught the attention of transfer chiefs in the M16, as his consistency and wealth of top-flight experience make him a relatively risk-free coup.
(Adams’ Premier League record)
He was substituted against Manchester United in December after just five minutes. He tore the medial ligament in his left knee while trying to block a shot from former RB Leipzig teammate Matheus Cunha.
Now back at Bournemouth, Adams has reflected on the untimely setback, telling Trail Blazers: “I’m in a good position. The first time I got hurt, the timeline was longer, but I came back a little earlier.

“It’s not ideal. You dream about the nights you play against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Those are the most important games you can play in the Premier League and things like that happen.”
When might Manchester United move for Adams?
CaughtOffside’s report adds that teams interested in the former Leeds United man may wait until the end of the World Cup to officially light up their pursuit in order to see how he performs in competition.
Adams, a 52-game international for the United States, will be doing his best to perform well for his country as the U.S. co-hosts this year’s tournament with Canada and Mexico.

Then, when the dust settles and the trophy is lifted in New Jersey on July 19, the club can really start negotiating transfers.
