Man threatens to kill cop, harm staff at Mercy Hospital: Police

CLAYTON, Mo. — A Glasgow Village man is in custody after allegedly threatening to kill a Creve Coeur police officer and choke Mercy Hospital staff.

The incident occurred on Jan. 7, according to a probable cause statement from the Creve Coeur Police Department.

Police said hospital staff asked Anterio L. Isaiah-Wainwright (age not provided) to leave the hospital, but he refused and got into an argument with staff and security. Law enforcement was asked to remove Isaiah Wainwright.

When confronted by police, Isaiah Wainwright said a police officer would “bleed” like him and would kill him. Isaiah Wainwright allegedly promised to return to the hospital after being released from prison and threatened to strangle nurses and security guards.

The St. Louis County Police Department charged Isaiah Wainwright with second-degree terroristic threats. He remains jailed on $50,000 cash bail. Isaiah-Wainwright is scheduled to have a bond reduction hearing on Wednesday, January 14, and a preliminary hearing on Monday, February 9.
