Man slashed in Brooklyn subway station subdues attacker with other riders’ help

A man was stabbed at a Brooklyn subway station on Friday but managed to subdue his attacker and hold him with the help of other gangsters until police arrived, police said.

According to law enforcement, the 46-year-old victim was slashed on his right hand on the platform at Clark Street Station in Brooklyn Heights around 8 p.m.

Police said the victim was riding the southbound No. 2 train with his wife when the suspect began harassing him.

Police said when the victim got off the train at Clark Street station, another man followed him out and then attacked him on the platform.

According to law enforcement, the victim and other subway riders held the suspect on the platform until officers from the 84th Precinct arrived and took him into custody.

“He followed them off the train,” an MTA worker told the Daily News at the scene. “He had a knife. He cut one of the guys and they threw him to the ground.”

The victim was taken to New York City Center Hospital in stable condition.

Charges against the suspect were pending Friday night.
