On Saturday, January 3, around 1:30 p.m., the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was called to the 15000 block of Greenwell Springs Road.
Upon arrival, EBRSO learned Fourroux was involved in the accident. The Sheriff’s Office said he crossed the center line and hit a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The responding deputy said Fourw was unable to answer questions, his speech was slurred and incoherent, and his eyes did not respond to light.
After being taken into custody, he said he had not taken drugs or alcohol. A witness told EBRSO that Fourroux was traveling very fast and crossed the center line multiple times.
A search of his vehicle revealed various drug paraphernalia, including two empty glass bottles. Fourw said none of what was found belonged to him.
Further investigation revealed that his vehicle was uninsured and that he had been arrested four times for DUI.
Fourw said no one else was with him in the car. Blood was then taken from him for analysis.
