Liverpool star sends DAMNING message to Arne Slot and FSG

Salah sends message to Slot and FSG

Although the great man has never claimed that he wanted to leave Liverpool, some media outlets have made false quotes and reported on the possibility of Salah leaving early.

The 33-year-old only signed a two-year contract extension with the club in April and it’s easy to read between the lines that his media outburst comes from his commitment to success.

Now that he is closer than ever to retirement, joining another team may be something he is considering, but the desire to get more game time should not be misconstrued as a transfer request.

The right-winger has been in fine form during his time with Egypt, scoring two of his team’s three goals in their first two games of this World Cup as they now safely advance to the last 16 stage.

With one game remaining, Hossam Hassan will be hoping for a sweep, but it’s a safe bet that Arne Slott, FSG and pundit Jamie Carragher will be well aware of Salah’s intentions.

Suggestions that Salah should go to Saudi Arabia or that his Liverpool legacy is somehow tarnished are nonsense. The fans adore him – as evidenced by the chants of his name at Anfield after the game against Brighton a few weeks ago – and the player doesn’t want to leave. Plus, he’s back to form now.

When the Egyptian returns to Liverpool, and if Salah can lead his country deep into the Africa Cup of Nations, which could be mid-January now, the chances of him leaving will diminish as most of the transfer window will be over, he will have a point to prove and he will likely cement his legacy.

After all, Carragher used the fact that Salah had never won a regional championship as a stick to beat him with as part of a rant about how “narcissistic” the winger had become. While no one else in Slott’s squad has won the European Cup, Salah has only backed his ability to succeed.

But if Salah can win the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time, an ambition he is leading his country to achieve as he is currently on pace to win the tournament’s Player of the Year award, there will be nothing to criticize him for. The campaign to send a clear message to his doubters is well underway.

Whenever possible, we should play Salah. He is an all-time great player. Everyone, including Salah, knows this.
