Mohamed Salah
Arne Slott once again spoke about Mohamed Salah’s situation after Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday.
Mohamed Salah was left out of Liverpool’s squad for their Champions League match against Inter Milan (1-0) last Tuesday. Salah was immediately linked with rumors of a possible departure. However, despite intense speculation, the Liverpool winger is not expected to leave the Reds this winter. After the 2-0 victory over Brighton in the Premier League, Salah returned to the team and the stadium. In an interview with the media, Red Army coach Arne Slott seemed to have buried the hatchet with the Egyptian star.
“I think if he is not at Milan it is because of the interviews he gave. The question is always the same and everyone has his own opinion on it: should he be sanctioned once, twice, three times, four times, four months, twelve years… Every coach will make a different decision. He did not play against Milan. I spoke to him yesterday He spoke and normally I don’t comment on our conversations. I won’t make an exception this time, but I believe actions speak louder than words. He came back into the team and, when I had to make the first substitution, I put him on and he performed as I think all the fans – including myself – had hoped.” explained the Dutch coach.
