Lenovo debuted its next-generation gaming handheld computer Lenovo Legion Go 2 at the IFA show in Berlin on Friday. Just days after the new handheld device was completely leaked, it has now gone official alongside a range of Lenovo devices, with specs and features confirmed. As the leaked information shows, the Legion Go 2 runs on AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip and comes with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. This Windows 11 handheld device features an 8.8-inch OLED screen, a detachable controller, and a 78Whr battery with 50% more capacity than the first-generation Legion Go.

The Lenovo Legion Go 2’s significant hardware upgrades also come with a higher price. Lenovo said in a press release that the new handheld device will go on sale in September 2025 in a single color “Eclipse Black” and is expected to start at 999 euros (approximately Rs. 103,000). The device will be available in select markets from September 2025.
According to The Verge, the Legion Go 2 will be available in four models: a base model with an AMD Ryzen Z2 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, an AMZ Z2 + 32GB + 1TB model, an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme model with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and a high-end version with 2TB of storage.

Legion Go 2 runs on up to AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chipset and comes with Windows 11. It features an 8.8-inch (1920×1200) OLED display, which is a lower resolution than its predecessor’s 1600p screen. The 16:10 touch screen supports a variable refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a brightness of up to 500 nits.
The handheld device comes with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 2TB M.2 PCIe SSD (Gen 4) storage, expandable up to 2TB of external storage via a microSD card slot. In addition to the card reader, the port selection on the Legion Go 2 includes two USB Type-C ports (USB 4.0, up to DisplayPort 2.0, Power Delivery 3.0) and a 3.5mm audio combo jack.
Connectivity options on the handheld device include Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.3. It comes with a pair of 2W integrated speakers, dual-array near-field microphones, and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.
The Lenovo Legion Go 2 comes with a 78Whr battery that can be charged using a 65W AC adapter. Lenovo says the battery supports “super fast charging” technology for faster charging times.
With the detachable TrueStrike controller attached, the handheld device measures 295.6mm x 136.7mm x 42.25mm and weighs approximately 920 grams.
