The last time the Bears won a playoff game
In the 2010 season, the Bears won the NFC North with an 11-5 record and became the second seed in the NFC playoffs. As a result, Chicago received a first-round bye and faced the Seattle Seahawks at home in the divisional round.

Seattle went 7-9 that year but won the NFC West and pulled off an upset victory over the New Orleans Saints on wild-card weekend. However, the Seahawks were no match for the Bears, who easily won 35-24.
The Bears have a lot of big-name players on their roster, including Jay Cutler, Matt Ford, Greg Olson, Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs. While Chicago is known for its defense, the offense is also pretty well-rounded.
Chicago started strong as Cutler found Olson for a 58-yard touchdown on the Bears’ first drive. The Bears scored two more touchdowns at halftime and another after the break to take a 28-0 lead entering the game.
The Seahawks did mount a strong comeback, scoring 24 points in the final 17 minutes of the game. However, Chicago’s fifth touchdown put the game out of reach and the Bears won by 11 points.
It was Cutler’s first ever playoff game and his only playoff victory. The quarterback finished the game with 274 passing yards, 43 rushing yards and four touchdowns, two rushing and two passing. Olsen passed for 113 yards and one score, while Urlacher led the team with seven tackles.

However, the Bears’ good days ended a week later when they lost 21-7 to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game as Cutler was unable to finish the game due to injury. Since 2011, the Bears have only made two other playoff appearances, one at home and one on the road, including:
-
Lost to Philadelphia Eagles 16-15 in 2019
-
Lost to New Orleans Saints 21-9 in 2021
The game also marked the Bears’ only playoff win since a Super Bowl appearance in 2007, and one of Chicago’s three playoff victories since 1994.
