The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled a bit over the past few weeks. They have won just half of their past eight games and have slipped to fourth place in the Western Conference with a 19-8 record.
One of the causes of this minor slide is injury. Austin Reaves, Gabe Vincent, Deandre Ayton, Rui Hachimura and Luka Doncic have all suffered injuries in recent days. Reeves, Vincent, Ayton and Rui Hachimura all missed Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, while Doncic suffered a leg contusion in the game and did not play in the second half.

The good news for the Lakers’ game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday is that Ayton will play, while Reeves is listed as questionable. But Doncic, Rui Hachimura and Vincent will be absent.
Los Angeles has had trouble with the Suns this season. On December 1, the Suns defeated the Suns 125-108 at Crypto.com Arena, and on December 14, Los Angeles took a big lead in the fourth quarter but ultimately lost the game, barely winning by two points.
Phoenix is 15-13 and has lost six of its last nine games, but this is a team the purple and gold needs to take very seriously.
