HOUSTON — The Lakers once again proved why they are one of the hottest teams in the league right now with another big win over their playoff rivals.

They put those doubts to rest with another victory Wednesday night for their 10th win in 11 games, beating the Rockets 124-116 to extend their winning streak to seven games and tie their season-best.
Luka Doncic and LeBron James combined for 70 points and the Lakers beat Houston for the second time in three days at Toyota Center.
Doncic was just one rebound shy of a triple-double, finishing with 40 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists, while James finished with 30 points on a near-perfect 13-of-14 shooting.

It was his seventh three-pointer of the night, and he was four points away from breaking the Lakers’ single-season record for three-pointers made.
