LOS ANGELES (AP) — Men’s and women’s soccer matches at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will begin four days before the opening ceremony and be played in seven U.S. cities.
Approved by the International Olympic Committee, the early start allows teams to have two more rest days during the competition than at previous Olympics. The schedule also includes extra rest days after the group stage and quarter-finals to give teams time to travel.
