The Hurricanes outscored the home team 36-15 (shots on goal) but could only get past Kraken goalie Joey Daccord on Nikolaj Ehlers’ goal in the second period.
To his credit, Daccord has looked excellent and has now won seven of his last eight games.
Head coach Rod Brind’Amour decided to break up his previous goaltending rotation with Brandon Busey and start Frederik Andersen for the second straight game.
Anderson allowed two goals on 15 shots.
The Kraken took just 21 shots all game, the fewest the Hurricanes have allowed this season.
The Canes took a total of 71 shots.
