Krafton’s life simulation game “inZOI” has sold more than 1 million copies in a week after launching into early access on Steam, the studio announced Friday. A competitor to Electronic Arts’ “The Sims” series, inZOI has become the fastest Krafton game ever to reach sales milestones. The South Korean conglomerate said it sees the game as a “long-term franchise IP” and will continue to release updates and DLC content for free until full launch.
inZOI sales exceeded 1 million copies
Krafton confirmed that the cumulative sales of “inZOI” exceeded 1 million copies on April 4, just one week after the game was launched into global early access on Steam.
“We are excited and excited to showcase inZOI to players around the world through early access,” Krafton CEO CH Kim said in a press release. “We will continue to actively communicate with players to cultivate inZOI into Krafton’s long-term franchise IP.”
The inZOI team posted on X on Friday to thank players and said they were “honored” by the game’s sales performance.
“This number still feels unreal to us, but we couldn’t achieve this milestone without each and every one of you. Your excitement, your creations, your feedback, your content, and your support bring inZOI to life in ways we never imagined,” the team said.
Krafton said inZOI has become the studio’s fastest game to reach sales milestones. The publisher confirmed in a press release that the game topped sales rankings in regions including North America and Asia.

According to the company, its “step-by-step approach” of sharing inZOI updates ahead of Early Access launch and its “player-friendly” strategy helped build trust among the player community, leading to a positive reception for the game.
“Ahead of inZOI’s launch, Krafton has been driving attention to the game by appearing at major gaming shows around the world, collaborating with international influencers, and actively communicating with the player community,” the publisher said in a press release. “inZOI global showcases and demos in particular generated high levels of interest, and the world’s leading media and gaming organizations further raised expectations around the world with ongoing updates on the game.”
The company said it will continue to release content updates for inZOI for free until its full rollout.
Prior to its early access launch on March 28, “InZOI” was the most popular game on Steam. The simulation game topped Steam’s global bestseller list just 40 minutes after its release.
According to Krafton, “inZOI” has 1,75,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, ranking third in the gaming category on the streaming platform. The studio said that inZOI’s in-game user-generated content sharing platform “Canvas” gathered more than 1.2 million players and uploaded more than 470,000 pieces of in-game content on the day it was launched.
