During a commercial break on “Raw,” Kofi Kingston announced that his tag team partner Xavier Woods has been dealing with an injury “for the better part of three months.”
Kingston, flanked by Grayson Waller, addressed the fans, telling them “we have some devastating news for you idiots.” He confirmed Woods suffered a shoulder injury. “The medical team and doctors are now forcing him to take some time off to allow the shoulder to recover.”

After a moment of silence was requested, Waller read a message to the WWE Universe on behalf of Woods. “I would love to come to Monday Night Raw tonight to announce this big news, but the last place I want to be is in a poor town like Memphis.” Waller explained that “pover” is the slang he taught Woods, meaning poverty. Woods continues to convey the message that the people of Memphis are poor and ugly. Woods asked: “How do I recover in a place where people can’t even recover from their ugliness?”
The New Day wrestled on “Raw” last month when they faced off against American Made, Los Americanos and Alpha Academy in a four-way match for the World Tag Team Championship. A few days later, they had a dark match with Waller at the Royal Rumble against The Motor City Machine Guns and Shinsuke Nakamura.
