But before heading home, she showed off her incredible medal-winning physique and achingly adorable personality as she bid a fond farewell to the Olympic Village in a tight orange athleisure top and black Fila pants.
On Wednesday, February 18, the TikTok sharing started in front of the famous Olympic rings in the village of Leerdam. “She doesn’t know it yet, but this video will go into a transition,” the selfie shot reads, with the apparently new athlete smiling. The video then cuts to new footage of the speed skater, now with two medals hanging around her neck.
“Thought I would show my kids this first video,” she captioned the sweet montage. “Olympic gold medals, silver medals and Olympic records… pinch me.”
In a TikTok video posted the day before, Leerdam admitted to delaying his departure because he had a cold.

“I can’t believe it, guys,” she said in the video on Tuesday, February 17. “I had such a complete Olympics. I got two colors, won the gold at my favorite distance and it was just a dream. Now I’m going to the Olympic Village to get all my stuff back, which means it’s coming to an end. But I can’t believe this. It’s crazy. This is everything I wanted and I did it…exciting.”
