Jordan Davis, Eagles reportedly agree to 3-year contract extension

One of the emerging leaders on the Philadelphia Eagles defense will remain in Philadelphia for years to come. Jordan Davis and the team have reportedly agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $78 million, with $65 million guaranteed. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.

Davis is now the highest-paid nose tackle in league history. His new money’s annual value ($26 million per year) ties him with old friend Milton Williams as the second-highest defensive back in the NFL. Only Chris Jones earns more annually. If you consider that Davis will make about $13 million per year in 2026, his average annual salary over the next four years will be $22.75 million, ranking 10th among interior defenders in annual earnings.

The Eagles have had one of the youngest defensive players in the league over the past few seasons, but now many are on the verge of signing second contracts that will be expensive for the organization. The team previously picked up Davis’ fifth-year option, keeping him in Philadelphia until 2026, and now they’re paying him long-term ahead of a 2022 first-round pick.

Davis’ new contract is well-deserved; the 26-year-old defensive tackle has made lifestyle changes over the past two offseasons that have set him on a health journey that has improved nearly every aspect of his game.

Entering 2025, Davis was 26 pounds lighter and was able to play 61 percent of the defensive snaps, 167 more snaps than in any of his previous three seasons. He had a career-high year in 2025, totaling 72 tackles, six tackles for loss, six quarterback hits and 4.5 sacks. Davis made a huge impact every week and earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against the Lions in Week 11.

Davis has proven his commitment to the team, the city and his overall health, and now he will continue to build the Eagles’ dominant defensive line.
