Jets vs. Jaguars: 3 X-factors on offense for Week 15

The New York Jets offense will face an extremely difficult challenge in Week 15. Their opponent, the 9-5 Jacksonville Jaguars, ranked 11th in defensive yards allowed and points allowed. Additionally, the Jets are dealing with various injuries at quarterback, which puts the offense in a bad spot.

We’re taking a cautious approach and identifying three potential X-factors for the Jets’ offense in Week 15 against the Jaguars.

Brady Cook, quarterback

All signs point to undrafted rookie quarterback Brady Cook starting for the Jets on Sunday. In Week 14, Cook struggled when replacing the injured Tyrod Taylor, completing less than 50 percent of his passes and committing multiple turnovers. The former Missouri quarterback must show improvement if the Jets want to avoid a blowout loss.

Blaise Hall, RB

The Jets will need to rely on Breece Hall with Cook at quarterback. The dual-threat playmaker was limited to 43 rushing yards and zero catches last weekend. They need a better performance from Hall on Sunday.

Adonai Mitchell, WR

Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell was greatly affected by the quarterback change in last weekend’s game. Mitchell was coming off a 102-yard receiving game with Taylor at quarterback. When Cook was under center, he had just one catch (six catches) for 24 yards.
