political strategist james carville Revealed which Democrat he thinks has the ability to win the White House in the 2028 election.
In the latest program arroyo grandehost Raymond Arroyo Carville was asked which Democrat he thought would “carry the flag” for the party ahead of the next presidential election. About the former Vice President Kamala HarrisCavill said no. About representation. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezhe said the same. When Arroyo mentioned the former U.S. Ambassador Rahm EmanuelCavill predicted “he’s going to have an impact on the conversation.”
That’s when Carville revealed two factors for his ideal Democratic nominee: the ability to raise significant amounts of money early in a campaign, and the ability to walk into black institutions and be warmly welcomed. On the first point, he narrowed the list to the governor of California. Gavin NewsomeGovernor of Pennsylvania. Josh Shapiroand Governor of Illinois. JB Pritzker. Regarding the second point, there is only one person left.
The conversation continues:
Cavell: If I had to name one guy — and I don’t really know him superficially — but if I was betting on the Kentucky Derby and I saw this horse that was 12 to 1 and I said, “Yeah, I’d like to get a price,” I would go with JB Pritzker.
Arroyo: Really? Why?
Cavill: Well–
Arroyo: Not Kamala Harris? She is black!
Cavill: She didn’t stand a chance.
Arroyo: Why not?
Carville: Because no Democrats want anything to do with anyone having anything to do with 2024. It’s not that we don’t like them. This is not what we are doing. I don’t think there’s no passion. I mean, look, if you do a poll and you say 2028, it’s Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, any name they’ve heard of. Well, the people they hear about will always be online, but that means nothing.
Arroyo: It doesn’t make any sense.
Arroyo then further pressed Carville to choose Pritzker, who cited the recent controversy surrounding his big casino win as an example of billionaires resonating with voters.
“They like him, man,” Cavill continued. “He campaigned hard. I bet there wasn’t a black church in South Carolina where JB wasn’t on the building fund committee.
“He’s worth $3 billion and won $1 million playing craps and blackjack in Las Vegas! That makes people like him!”
Watch above.
