That all changed in December, when they suffered multiple losses, including three separate losses to the San Antonio Spurs. It appears head coach Mark Daigneault and his staff are using these losses as motivation.
Williams on Thunder’s rebound
As one of the most loaded teams in the NBA, the Thunder have been the favorites before the season started. They’re the defending champions, so recent history suggests they’ve got what it takes.

As a player who has been adjusting all season, Jalen Williams knows the Thunder are good right now. It’s been a long time coming because some people are starting to worry about the Thunder.
Turns out they were still warming up the engine. Now it seems that they are the best team in the league again, and they have become more confident.
“We’re getting healthier, which is a big thing. So everybody’s more comfortable in their roles. Everybody knows how many minutes we’re going to have,” Williams said after the Thunder’s latest win extended their winning streak to five games.

“I think that’s our big thing. That’s how we win games and win games by our standards.”
Going forward, the Thunder will continue to be one of the best teams in the league. They are favorites to win another title and with their recent winning streak, they may feel more confident about their chances.
As their roster gets healthier, the Thunder will continue to be a tough matchup. Even though other teams like the Spurs have given them a good look, the Thunder can still unlock a new level that would be scary for the rest of the NBA.
