As the Iowa basketball team (19-8, 9-7 Big Ten) prepares to take on Ohio State (17-10, 9-7 Big Ten) on Wednesday night at Carver-Hawkeye Stadium, both the Hawkeyes and Buckeyes released their conference-mandated game-day injury reports.
As has been the case on previous Hawkeyes injury reports, freshman guard Payton McCollum (season-ending foot injury) is the only name listed.
However, Ohio State faces a more complicated injury issue heading into tonight’s game.

According to the Buckeyes’ injury report, senior center Christopher Tilley (11.3 ppg; 42.2% FG), senior forward Brandon Noel (7.4 ppg; 64.3% FG) and senior forward Josh Ogianyuna (no 2025-26 stat line) are out tonight.
Most notably, junior guard and second-leading scorer John Mobley Jr. (15.1 points per game; 42.2 percent shooting) is listed as questionable.
Freshman guard Myles Herro (not counted for the 2025-26 season) is also listed as “out for the season” for the Buckeyes.
The Hawkeyes and Buckeyes will tip off tonight at 8 pm central time at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on the Big Ten Network, with major implications for both programs’ Big Ten tournament seeding and potential NCAA tournament hopes.
