The Indians defeated No. 9 seed Alabama 38-3 in the Rose Bowl, while the Ducks defeated No. 4 seed Texas Tech 23-0 in the Orange Bowl. On October 11, 2025, Indiana defeated Oregon State 30-20 on the road.
Indiana’s Elijah Sarratt had a strong performance against Oregon State with 121 receiving yards and a touchdown, and the Hoosiers’ defensive front gave Ducks quarterback Dante Moore a hard time.
