IDF kills six terrorists, arrest dozens of wanted individuals in ‘Operation Five Stones’

The operation was conducted by the IDF’s Menashe and Samaritan Brigades in cooperation with the Shin Bet, the Border Police and the Air Force.

The IDF has killed six terrorists and arrested dozens of wanted men in the northern West Bank over the past two weeks in what the military calls “Operation Five Stones,” the army said in a statement on Friday.

The operation was conducted by the IDF’s Menashe and Samaritan Brigades in cooperation with the Shin Bet, the Border Police and the Air Force.

The IDF said its troops also questioned dozens of other suspects. The wanted persons and all weapons found during the operation were handed over to the regional police and the Shin Bet.

Money, weapons and explosives found during the operation

Israeli forces have also seized hundreds of thousands of shekels intended to finance terrorist activities. IDF Magland units also discovered weapons including pistols, rifles, M-16 rifles, knives and ammunition in the village of Tammun. Books inciting violence and supporting Hamas were found at the site.

The IDF Menashe Brigade also discovered and destroyed weapons and explosives in Jenin during the operation. Two buildings in the Palestinian city used to house terrorists were also demolished.

The Indian Air Force conducted more than 30 targeted air strikes to assist ground forces.
